Basics Lifestyle started as an Angular JS website. I used the site as a health blog where I posted articles about healthy eating as well as various weight lifting exercises that I do in my weekly workouts.
I have found that keeping track of what you eat makes a huge difference in the way you look and feel. Thus, I added a new section to the website called “Accountability”. This section allowed visitors to create an account where they could easily create photo diaries. It made it very easy to take a picture of the food you were eating or activity you were participating in and post it onto the site. Each post could be marked as public or private.
The website was now complete. Since the website was based entirely on html5 and Angular JS, I was able to import it into a PhoneGap project. I then imported Cordova camera libraries, fine tuned things so it worked on phones and tablets, then finally created my first Android App. I moved this app into the Google Play store.
